What is the clipping path?

The clipping path is to pick the necessary part from an image and remove the unnecessary part. This is a Photoshop technique — used with the pen tool to remove the background from an image. The clipping path is usually used when the subject of the image has a sharp, smooth edge. This allows the clipping path to stay straight.

We often cut or separate our essential parts from a newspaper with scissors. Then, we use our necessary parts and discard the rest of the clipping path. Simply put, a clipping path is an image that is a selected image from a background and a boundary created by that image.

The shape of an image is changed through clipping.

Clipping is the best way to remove the background of the original object.

The color background of the object is deleted.

Multi-clipping is done on an image.

Clipping Paths are great tools — I use them for two fundamental reasons:

1.Crop the entire work of art at the destination. A lot of the time, I will have artwork that will stretch well beyond the desired dimensions for the image, but I clip this artwork with the correct dimensions and appropriate bleeding.

2.Reveal patterns, textures, or backgrounds of a region (and exclude it in other cases) without deleting any paths or objects.
